Inspired by the way that a strong breeze created rippling movement in the aluminum blinds of my home, I imagined the blinds communicating the wave action of distant seas. Long Fetch II uses custom software to isolate the movement of waves in video footage recorded at the Atlantic and Pacific shorelines, and transmits that information to a pair of automated vertical blinds, with the east coast to the right and the west coast to the left.
